What upgrades do I need to make my 2006 Chevrolet Colorado Offroad Capable?
My 2006 Chevrolet Colorado 2WD (rear) with a 4 cylinder engine. I'll soon be 30 "or 31" tires (no lift), but no upgrade other (It's got coils instead of torsion bars, so that lifts are rare and expensive). This is not an issue off-road (Z71 or something else) and I'm afraid there's nothing that I will be able to do to help them be able to off-road. Are there any improvements I have to give the engine more power, or something that I can to be able to do better off-road without fear of getting stuck / broke? Not necessarily very serious offroading, but some light mudding, and stuff like that.Any advice or updates I might add (not a lot of money) would be very appreciated.
Even in this truck, just the 4 cyl will have trouble off-road.The old stand by improvements in performance are intake and exhaust systems.These have lived up grades in any option vehicle.Another foctory is turbo.Idon 't know what your budget, but a turbo is a great power adder.In most cases, adding a turbo requires a certain category and / or head shot work.asmall nitrogen will do bad things to your truck a few times, but could easily damage the engine with too much.And last but certainly not least the small block in an old tower s 10.Swapping a V8 into your truck is the best most reliable way to take off-road driving that thing "interesting".
2006 Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab - Audio System.?
Well, I have no experience with car audio whatsoever. I just know of guitar amps, and nothing else. So I know I'm about to sound like a moron.
I drive Colorado described above, and I now seeking the best options for upgrading stereo. To get a subwoofer, I need to install either under the rear seat or behind the center console. I found an excellent option for the bench area - http://www.soundoffaudio.com/item.cfm/id / 2177 and now I must choose a (unit scheduled for two 8-inch woofers). For now, all my gears are factory.Both "6-3/4 speakers and tweeters mini front, most part of the factory CD receiver shit. I suppose the head of RCA inputs. For my truck, will I need to buy an amplifier to use both subs? Eventually, everything will be replaced, but I am not sure of first place - the deck, speakers or get the subs installed. The bridge will be replaced with part-measure for the year after the 2000 GM models.
Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you, guys!

If you get the subs you will need an amp to power them, im not sure about the stock CD player if it has RCA connections or not, you may be able to look in the manual or something to verify this. I personally (in my Chevy truck) i got the cd player changed first, then I got my sub and amp and then with various stakeholders, but the order would be you. However, it would suck if you bought the sub and AMP and got everything ready and then ended up not having stereo RCA connections from your stock. a good place to check for the equipment would Crutchfield car.com they often have sales on by and have a live chat you can speak to a counselor who will help you choose your system that you are looking for.
