Dump the worthless Garmin Colorado 400t and get differnt good 1?
Hello everyone,
Looking to buy a new GPS system, but I do not know which might be good for me. I want to change the one I bought before yesterday, but a Garmin Colorado 400t but I think it is worthless, like I did not have a GPS because of its high consumption of energy that makes cells are dead after only 1 hour of use if I want to make a trip somewhere, I bring 2 pounds of extra batteries with me. Many people complain of Colorado 400S very short life of the battery. I am pointing to Oregon 400 or something better than that, anyone here knows if Oregon 400 features a long battery life?or someone knows a good GPS that?
Thank you very much.

Delorme PN-40 GPS vs Garmin 60csx GPS?
I heard the Delorme PN-40 is superior even goes Preformance eye vs. Colorado, however, Colorado is not so great about setting Geocaching friendly, if I compare it with the 60CSx. Only problem is the price!
Delorme PN-40 $ 250ish
Garmin 60CSx $ 325ish
Garmin Colorado $ 550ish
Not to mention when you buy a Garmin you pay 30% of advertising costs for the prodoct's. Delorme did not put in all the magazines, which explains why it's cheaper. However, I want to focus on products.
Garmin Topmaps also sometimes run $ 100 VS Delorme when I heard the owners it's free. Simply not easy enough to configure.
Ive never tried a PN-40, but Ive had a 60CSX for almost 2 years and it works very well. I use it for hiking and car navigation.
Ive locked onto satellites in my house countless times and the accuracy is very good, even in cities around large buildings. The construction is excellent, I placed in a stream once and it worked fine afterwards, even if it hit rocks about 6 inches of water.
Incidentally, you can now get 10 city maps of dollars on the Garmin website. They have all major cities in North America and Europe. They are called "maps CityXplorer.Definitely worth checking out, I only wish they were there when I bought my Garmin maps 2 years ago.
Perhaps Delorme is equally good, all I can do is Vouche for Garmin. Its a good unit.
