How does the stock exchange arrive at the price of a particular stock on the exchange?
For example: if the stock of Company A opened at say $ 10 and the end of the day, its price was $ 11. How did the exchange to get the price right?
Suppose I own some shares of the said company, I offer to sell it for $ 10.50. Another person, willing to put money in this stock, will buy the stock at $ 10.50. Thus, the title is now trading at $ 10.50. This scenario continues and the stock reached $ 11 by the end of the day.
