ok, so I am a first time buyer who was going with Countrywide (big mistake). to make a long story short ...
We had no money down and deposit $ 1000 deposit earnest. So, we offered 144,000 on a house that is the asking price was 139,500, up to down payment. Everthing was fine until the appraisal came in $ 4,000 too low. My lender told us that the offer of more to cover the deposit is not allowed, a week before we were close, although she knew from the GetGo that was our plan? So my question is what I do now? I tried a few other lenders and they can not help us.

Are they still give mortgages? I ask because we were competing with another buyer for the same house. They approved the country embarked on the home inspected and evaluated and were suppose to close in a week. Well today we received a call from our realtor saying mortgage to other users fell threw and asking if we wanted more of the house. We have a commitment of Wells Fargo ... think that if their mortgage fell threw ours too. We have excellent credit and ratios of debt to income!
I work for Countrywide and yes, we still have mortgages. If the house has been evaluated, then you're looking at about a week before as their loan is made. That should go well with. I used to work for them and they are a solid company. Countrywide guidelines change every day and in fact, these people may not get a conditional approval. You see, it's not over until the fat lady sings in mortgages. There is always something that can go wrong. You'll be fine and congrats!
