I found an old dagger is it valuable?
I found an old knife with a handle carving that says HHH I found buried in my yard the blade is damaged but not completely ruined and he does not appear in the former, but it seems old enough that I can get good money for him?
how do I clean the blade of a pitted and rusty 100 year old dagger without making the blade shiny.??
The dagger is old and valuable. I want to stop rust causing further damage, but do not want to use a chemical that kills the rust, but turns black metal thr underlying. I seek advice from a museum technician, I suppose.
I would not clean it is more like it is .... but I am not an expert. Good luck.
