Is AP World History Barrons better than the AP World History Princeton book? Can someone please tell me why?
Is Barrons AP World History better than the AP World History book Princeton? Please can someone tell me why? What makes one of them better than the other? Should we include more information than the other? Is it easier to understand than the other? What works best for you if you have used these books, and took the AP World history exam?
I took the AP World last year and earned a 4. I had both Barron's book The review and reconsideration of Princeton. In my opinion, the Princeton Review book was much, much better. It simplified things and was actually pretty funny (he did everything in the jokes that were easy to remember). It was not as precise in its details that the book review the Barron's a fact, but it was a good review of the overall trend and what you need to know. The person who answered above me said that the Princeton Review book, does not include review questions after each section as the Barron's book.True, I found the review questions in the Barron's book is basically useless. They were not like the types of questions asked on the AP exam itself. The Princeton Review book contained AP practice exams in the back with explanations very good response, which more than compensated for not having the exam questions throughout the entire book.
In short, I used both books, but I found myself more likely to study from Princeton, which ultimately seems to have done a good job in helping me get a good grade.
Is it too late to switch to Barrons for Math Level 2 prep?
I use the Princeton Review for the past week and I am looking for some extra preparation. People say Barrons is good because you overprepares. Is it too late to start right away? because I was going to use for testing convenience only.
It is never too late. But here's my personal opinion ... I took the Math Level 2 SAT II and got a 800. I watched a lot of books for review, including Barron's. And I agree that you overprepares Barrons, but you overprepares on worthless stuff. My advice ... Use the official book with Real SAT II exams taken for practice. Take the test, rank and analyze your weaknesses. The study is based on this point. Barron's is not really worth your time and make you concentrate on erroneous orders.
